Release #6

And time for another release! This time it's chapters 68 and 69! I'm thrilled about this because it means I have accomplished my goal, I can now read all the current releases without having to skip chapters!~ I think the next thing I'm going to do is re-read from chapter 1 to 76. And now that this has been taken care of, hopefully the remaining groups will quickly catch Special A up to the Japanese releases! Any how, enjoy the chapters and thanks for all the support so far!

I still plan to release chapters 51 and 64; they've been sitting mostly done for a while now. But once those are done, it looks like I'll be taking a break from scanlation again, so Special A Scans will be on hiatus. As I mentioned in a previous post, I just accepted a new job and will be moving within the next 3-5 weeks and starting my new job at the beginning of the year. Between the relocating and the new job I'm going to be very busy. At least until I get adjusted to it all, I won't be able to work on anything. So instead of picking up a new series and then disappearing I decided to take a break until I'm sure I can still work on it.

That brings me to what I wanted to bring up next! Thanks for all the suggestions of what to work on next! I ended up having over 40 series to look at. I found a few new things to read and ended up with a list of around 12 different series I am considering to be my new project when the chance presents itself!

Oh right and if I *do* have some free time before the move and job, its always possible I'll release a chapter or two of something just because!

Release #5

Its time for another release! Today I'm bringing you chapters 65, 66 and 67! My, what lucky people you all are. With this release, I'm just 2 chapters away from completing my goal of closing the gaps in SA releases. Which means, SA Scans will soon be closing its doors, I'll be out of raws and I'll have much less free time soon, so it's all for the best. Any how, now for the releases:

Once I complete and release chapters 68 and 69 (and release a few back chapters that are almost done but got put aside) we'll no longer be releasing Special A. As I said above, I'll be out of raws and I'll have completed my goal.

Now my question to readers: I am considering starting a new project once I finish up with Special A, my question is, what series would you like to see worked on? I wasn't coming up with some ideas so I'm hoping something someone suggests sparks an interest. I have a fairly broad interest in manga, so don't worry and just make the suggestion.

If I find a project that interests me and am able to acquire raws for it, I'll most likely pick it up. So please suggest some good projects that you know have stalled, been dropped or are just plain neglected and I'll give them a look! Until then, look forward to chapters 68 and 69 in a few days.

Release #4

Its that time again. This time I have chapter 45 for you all. I promised it 2 weeks ago, got really busy and it got released by VM/VN. It was honestly a relief that it did, I was really busy and finding time to finish it up would have been rough. Since I was off the hook to deliver on my promise, I put it on the back burner and its now finished!

Any how, for this release the only part I worked on was the proof reading, it was kind of nice! Too bad my editor friends are back to working on their real projects and its back to just me doing everything!

Release #3

Hey all, time for another release. This time its chapter 49! Sorry to skip around past it with the last release. I got anxious to have a second release while I was waiting for a few finishing touches on this chapter and my next release.

Release #2

So, things have been a bit crazy for me lately. As is obvious 45 didn't get released (by me) yet. I've been out of town and my friend that cleaned the chapter ALSO went out of town and didn't send me the cleaned version before she left. I was about to re-clean and then PR / typeset and release but saw that it got released by VN/VM. Which was just fine with me, I'm just happy to see these chapters released.

SA Scans is still going to release 45, since I bugged some nice people for the translation and my friend already cleaned it. Once she comes back, she'll typeset it and we'll release it.

I have another release I want to do but I'm waiting for a few more pages to be translated. I however got tired of waiting to be able to have another release. Even though I promised myself I'd keep things in order (for my releases) there's going to be a small gap, for just a few days though I promise.

I've been sitting on these 3 chapters for at least 2 weeks now. I started the group up and finished these in the first 2-3 days, after cleaning the untranslated chapters, scrambling to find translators for said chapters and then having nothing to do while I waited for translations.

So here you go, enjoy chapters 50, 62 and 63!

Edit: My next releases will be 49 and 51 to close the gaps. The work is almost complete for both, just need a few pages sent back to me from each.

(Files are also currently going up on Mangatraders. Mangafox would be included but I'm not on my normal computer and managed to forget the password for the moment.)

And for the one and only time here: I'm sorry to any editor, translator, scanner, etc who has invested time on their versions chapters I release. I understand we all have lives etc, but while I'm not terribly busy at the moment I wanted to see something done and so I'm doing it. Think what you want about me, I had the resources so I put together my releases (usually in under 2-3 hours worth of total work per chapter) so I've gone ahead and put together some English scans that *I* wanted personally and I'm releasing them because I knew there were others in the community that would want access to them. I've never cared for some of the pettiness associated with scanlating and this will be the last time it comes up from me on this site. (Sorry, you don't own the chapter/series) But if I've wasted your time that you spent on one of my releases feel free to rant at me in the comments or the e-mail if it makes you feel better.

Hey, I know I said Saturday or Sunday but its been a busy weekend, on Thursday I had to drive 7-8 hours to D.C. for a job interview Friday morning and then went to visit my parents in Ohio (6 hours away) after that and as a result, I'm still out of town for a few more days, which has taken away from my time to work on releases. I do promise chapter 45 later today or tomorrow still And I have 2 more chapters to complete and I will have a release of 5-6 chapters. Depending how busy I remain, you may have to wait for next week for those several releases but it definitely won't be too long!

Update: Just noticed VM/VN just released 45. Amazing what a little competition can do :)
