Final Post
Hi again! That is if anyone still checks here. I am calling it official that I will not be picking up a new series (or getting back to work on SA at any time, besides, scans are almost caught up to Japanese releases and I hear the series is ending in a few more months).
Why won't I work on a new project? I have zero free time. For the last 2 weeks I have been home a total of 2 Saturdays and out of town the rest of the time. And I am leaving for another week in a few hours. Most of my time awake while on the business trips is occupied with work and I tend to only get 1-3 hours free before I'm calling it a night and going to bed. And the 1 day I'm home a week is spent running around catching up on everything I need to do while I'm in town as well as laundry, repacking and re-preparing for my next trip. For now I'm *only* booked on these business trips till the end of April but I know I need to return to each of the sites another time, so that puts me booked till ... August?
I hope you all enjoyed my work in the past, lets all hope for a good ending for the SA manga series when it comes in a few months, its been a lot of fun on my part working on scanlating chapters of SA since chapter 11.

Happy Holidays
Happy New Years and happy/merry etc all the other holidays this season that have already passed, from me at SA Scans.
Just a quick update, I'm finally moved into my new place and am starting my job in a week, I've got a bunch to do between now and then though but who knows, if things really do calm down a bit after I start working, I very well might come back with some more stuff. I've been thinking of working on Until Death Do Us Part. A great series, though very different from SA obviously. Of course it got pretty active at the start of December right after I thought about working on it, so we'll see how much it releases between now and whenever I may want to work on it. I found raws and just really love the series, so I'd be very motivated in getting chapters out if I do have time to work on it.
Once again, hope everyone had a great year end and I'd like to wish you all a happy and successful year in 2009!

The Future of SA Scans
Well, I don't know if anyone will actually see/read this post but SA Scans is officially on hiatus.
No raws + translations for a chapter mysteriously appeared in my inbox and I haven't hunted too far for any myself. However, if I do come across something like that, I wouldn't mind releasing a chapter or 2 between now and when I start my new job in January. (Hint hint) Till I start working I'm mostly occupying myself looking for someone to rent my condo and finding a place to move into. And figuring out how to get everything moved where I need it to be!
And I think I said it before but I saved a nice big list of potential projects, so if after I get into things with my new job I find I have free time to work on scanlating (and find the interest) I'll probably pull something from one of those suggested series and do some releases.
Thanks again to everyone for all the support, I loved all the comments and all the series suggestions were great, I found some new series that I'm enjoying and will hopefully motivate me to come back from this break in a few months and work on something new!

Release #6
And time for another release! This time it's chapters 68 and 69! I'm thrilled about this because it means I have accomplished my goal, I can now read all the current releases without having to skip chapters!~ I think the next thing I'm going to do is re-read from chapter 1 to 76. And now that this has been taken care of, hopefully the remaining groups will quickly catch Special A up to the Japanese releases! Any how, enjoy the chapters and thanks for all the support so far!

Files uploaded to Mangafox and Mangatraders already.
I still plan to release chapters 51 and 64; they've been sitting mostly done for a while now. But once those are done, it looks like I'll be taking a break from scanlation again, so Special A Scans will be on hiatus. As I mentioned in a previous post, I just accepted a new job and will be moving within the next 3-5 weeks and starting my new job at the beginning of the year. Between the relocating and the new job I'm going to be very busy. At least until I get adjusted to it all, I won't be able to work on anything. So instead of picking up a new series and then disappearing I decided to take a break until I'm sure I can still work on it.
That brings me to what I wanted to bring up next! Thanks for all the suggestions of what to work on next! I ended up having over 40 series to look at. I found a few new things to read and ended up with a list of around 12 different series I am considering to be my new project when the chance presents itself!
Oh right and if I *do* have some free time before the move and job, its always possible I'll release a chapter or two of something just because!

Release #5
Its time for another release! Today I'm bringing you chapters 65, 66 and 67! My, what lucky people you all are. With this release, I'm just 2 chapters away from completing my goal of closing the gaps in SA releases. Which means, SA Scans will soon be closing its doors, I'll be out of raws and I'll have much less free time soon, so it's all for the best. Any how, now for the releases:
SA v12 c65 (mediafire) | Mirror 1 (savefile)
SA v12 c66 (mediafire) | Mirror 1 (savefile)
SA v12 c67 (mediafire) | Mirror 1 (savefile)
Files uploaded to Mangatraders and Mangafox already.
Once I complete and release chapters 68 and 69 (and release a few back chapters that are almost done but got put aside) we'll no longer be releasing Special A. As I said above, I'll be out of raws and I'll have completed my goal.
Now my question to readers: I am considering starting a new project once I finish up with Special A, my question is, what series would you like to see worked on? I wasn't coming up with some ideas so I'm hoping something someone suggests sparks an interest. I have a fairly broad interest in manga, so don't worry and just make the suggestion.
If I find a project that interests me and am able to acquire raws for it, I'll most likely pick it up. So please suggest some good projects that you know have stalled, been dropped or are just plain neglected and I'll give them a look! Until then, look forward to chapters 68 and 69 in a few days.

Release #4
Its that time again. This time I have chapter 45 for you all. I promised it 2 weeks ago, got really busy and it got released by VM/VN. It was honestly a relief that it did, I was really busy and finding time to finish it up would have been rough. Since I was off the hook to deliver on my promise, I put it on the back burner and its now finished!
Any how, for this release the only part I worked on was the proof reading, it was kind of nice! Too bad my editor friends are back to working on their real projects and its back to just me doing everything!

Enjoy, look forward to some more chapters pretty soon!
